Typhoon Mawar impacted our tiny island on May 24th, 2023. With sustained winds of 140 mph, the storm roiled over the island for hours leaving homes damaged, trees bare, street lights hanging or gone altogether, and more than half of the island's residents without power and water.

Similarly, the island's commercial sector suffered $112 million in damage and many business owners and their employees returned to work to do the best they could to bring back some normalcy and get back to work.

These heroes showed incredible resilience during those difficult days and weeks following the storm and, here at Isla Coatings, we are incredibly lucky and blessed to have some of these heroes!
